The final result of a Polaroid photo is not comparable to a print on paper, it has always been something different for me, a real object, a container inside which there is a layered compound of chemical materials, an emulsion that slowly it is transformed into an image that always remains enclosed under a transparent film and is kept as in a display case.
Manually intervening with a palette knife on its transforming surface, almost without thinking, in the few minutes in which that magical process takes place was for me like blending painting and photography together.
